I thought I'd do my part and post this here as a favor to those of you who were, for whatever reason, anxious to see the new logo.

The image was supposedly "leaked" to TigerDroppings.com.

It doesn't look bad, but I'm still pretty disenchanted with the new nickname, which is set to be announced today. I suppose that it's better than the Rougarou (sp?), though... Right?

[UPDATE] Here's a leaked introductory video from the press conference. The video entails the people who chose the name basically telling the people of New Orleans how we're, somehow, represented by the Pelican and how awesome pelicans are. No joke. It's pretty ridiculous, but the music is cool and, at the end, the video also reveals the official new logo, which looks pretty cool. Thanks to LoCo89 for the tip.
