Daughter‘s “Love” is a slow-building, heavy, haunting track. The Synkro edit drags the song into an even deeper place and now this Zebra Safari edit takes Synkro’s edit “a few steps further,” the Swedish duo explains on their Soundcloud page. Bringing in a pounding, guttural low-end and skittering hi-hats, Zebra Safari’s atmospheric, updated trip-hop vibe would be hypnotizing if not for that brain-rattling bass. So far they’re two for two when it comes to delivering great late-night headphone music.  

I was a fan of the original track by Daughter, but I hadn't really done much in the way of keeping up with edits of it before. For mixes that stem from the same song, you'd be mistaken in thinking that they sound alike.
